Scholarships, Summer Youth Employment

AKA Scholarships for 2012 - Deadline April 20th

Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter's 501(c)3 organization, Southern Prince George's Community Charities (SPGCCC), offers scholarships to qualified high school students each year.  SPGCCC's goal is to increase the number and/or dollar amount of scholarships each year.  High school students who plan to attend a two year or four year college or university on a full time basis after graduation may apply for the scholarships.  Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and individual motivation.  To be eligible, the students must reside in or attend high school in Southern Prince George’s County.  Information and applications are provided to local high schools.
Additionally, SPGCCC, awards the Sylvia Avery Memorial Scholarship annually to assist a student majoring in Education to continue his/her studies at Morgan State University.  The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need and desire to continue higher education.
